Your comfort. Our priority.Delivering reliable HVAC and refrigeration solutions.

Built for the coast.

Richards Bay's heat, humidity and sea air are hard on cooling equipment. These are the things we pay attention to so a system keeps working here, not just on the day it is installed.

  1. Split air conditioner mounted high on a white wall below exposed cable trunking

Size for humidity, not just heat

An oversized unit cools the air quickly and switches off before it has pulled the moisture out, leaving a cold, clammy room. On the coast, getting the capacity right matters as much for comfort as for the electricity bill.

  2. Outdoor air conditioning unit mounted on a wall bracket under a roof overhang

Give the outdoor unit room to breathe

The outdoor unit has to get rid of the heat it removes from the room. We place it where air can move freely, out of trapped corners and, where the site allows, sheltered from direct wind-driven spray.

  3. Pair of copper refrigerant pipes running down a wall

    Pipe and drain it properly

Humid air means a lot of condensate. Correctly insulated copper lines and a properly sloped drain stop the drips, damp patches and mould that come from rushed installations.

  4. Indoor split air conditioner unit, its display reading 22 degrees

Service it on a coastal schedule

Salt and moisture corrode coils, fins and connections faster than inland. Regular cleaning and checks keep the system efficient and catch corrosion before it causes a breakdown.

What size air conditioner do you need?

Enter the room and how it is used for an instant BTU estimate. It is the same first step we take on site, and it makes your quote request quicker.

Estimate: 7 800 BTU per hour. Closest standard size 9 000 BTU.

Estimated cooling needed

About 2.3 kW for 20 m²

A 9 000 BTU unit is the closest standard size.

Your room details go with the request, so we can check the size before quoting. This is a rule-of-thumb estimate: insulation, windows, appliances and use all change the real load, so we confirm on site.

How a job runs

The same six steps for a single bedroom unit or a full commercial installation, so you always know what happens next.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Call, WhatsApp or send the quote form with the room, building or equipment and a few photos if you have them.

  2. 02

    Site assessment

We look at the space, the load, where the units can go and how the pipework and drainage will run.

  3. 03

    Clear quotation

A written quote that states the equipment, the work included and what is excluded. No surprises.

  4. 04

    Installation

Neat, protected work areas, insulated pipework and a tidy finish. We clean up when we are done.

  5. 05

    Commissioning and handover

Leak and pressure tests, a performance check and a walk-through of how to use and look after the system.

  6. 06

    Ongoing maintenance

Scheduled servicing to keep it efficient and catch problems early, especially near the sea.

Questions we get asked

Can't see your question? Call or WhatsApp us and ask.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Mandlazini, Richards Bay. Get in touch with your suburb or town and we will confirm whether we can help and when.

How do I get a quote?

Send the quote form, call or WhatsApp us. For installations we usually need to see the site or photos of it before giving a firm price.

What size air conditioner do I need?

Start with our BTU calculator for an estimate based on room size, sun and use. We confirm the size on site, because insulation, glazing and ceiling height all make a difference.

Why does salt air matter for air conditioners?

Salt and moisture in coastal air corrode outdoor coils, fins and electrical connections faster than inland. Sensible placement, regular cleaning and a closer service interval all help a system last longer near the sea.

Do you work on refrigeration as well as air conditioning?

Yes. Twin Core covers air conditioning, commercial refrigeration such as cold rooms and display fridges, and ventilation.

Tell us about the room, the shop or the cold room.

Send a few details and we will come back to you with next steps, or call and speak to a director directly.
